CTD D-4005-1A

The capacitor trip relay is designed for 120 VAC input. It is used with a shunt trip. It can be used with undervoltage but must have shunt trip or jumper between terminals 2 and 6. When capacitor is fully charged the CR relay will energize and indicating light will illuminate.

CTD D-4005-1

The capacitor trip relay is designed for 120 VAC input. It is used with a shunt trip. When capacitor is fully charged the CR relay will energize and indicating light will illuminate.

CTD D-4005-2A

The capacitor trip relay is designed for 240 VAC input. It is used with a shunt trip. It can be used with undervoltage but must have a shunt trip or jumper between terminals 2 and 6. When capacitor is fully charged the CR relay will energize and indicating light will illuminate.

CTD D-4005-4

The capacitor trip relay is designed for 120 VAC. It can be used with undervoltage or shunt trip. When capacitor is fully charged the CR relay will energize and indicating light will illuminate.  This is a voltage doubling circuit.

CTD D-4005-4M

The D-4005-4M capacitor trip relay is designed for 120VAC and it is used with a shunt trip. It also has a safety power-up circuit that provides power to the shunt trip solenoid before the capacitor is fully charged. Once the capacitor is fully charged it will be available for shunt trip and the safety power-up circuit will by bypassed and the indicating light will illuminate. This is a voltage doubling circuit.

CTD D-4005-TC

The D4005-TC capacitor trip relay is designed for 120VAC and it can be used with UV and shunt trip. It also has a safety power-up circuit that provides power to the shunt trip solenoid before the capacitor is fully charged. Once the capacitor is fully charged it will be available for shunt trip and the safety power-up circuit will by bypassed and the indicating light will illuminate. This is a voltage-doubling circuit.

Benefits of Using the Becker SMC Capacitor Trip Device

Capacitor trip devices are used in electrical systems to protect against overvoltage conditions. They operate by sensing when the voltage in the system exceeds a predetermined threshold and triggering a trip signal to disconnect the circuit.

  • Protection against overvoltage: Capacitor trip devices protect against overvoltage conditions that can damage electrical equipment and cause safety hazards.
  • Increased equipment lifespan: By protecting equipment against overvoltage, capacitor trip devices can help extend the equipment's lifespan, reducing maintenance costs and downtime.
  • Cost-effective: Capacitor trip devices are relatively inexpensive compared to other forms of electrical protection, making them a cost-effective solution for many applications.
  • Easy to install: Capacitor trip devices are easy to install and require minimal maintenance, which helps to reduce installation and maintenance costs.
  • Improved safety: By preventing overvoltage conditions, capacitor trip devices help to improve overall security in electrical systems, reducing the risk of electrical shock or fire.
